This
weathering steel building is designed by Ministry of Design, the new Vanke showroom in Tianjin, China. The building presents an extended
weathering steel V shape, which folds and curves around a triangular site, and the shape is at every corner Tilted upwards, cantilevered to cover the triangular windows below. The two corners with glass skins are the entrances to the showroom and the information center, while the lounge and bar for customers are located in the third corner.
This project is located in Tianjin, China. The exhibition and consulting center specially designed by Ministry of Design for Vanke. The dynamic
weathering steel architectural style has become a significant symbol of the site. Vanke requires the building to contain three main spaces: a tourist information center, an exhibition gallery and a discussion lounge.
Corten steel design requires each space to have its own entrance and exit, which do not interfere with each other. The tourist center and exhibition gallery are separated by the existing sidewalks, and the spaces can operate independently. The
weathering steel gallery and discussion lounge have direct sea views. In terms of structure, the inner surface is decorated with wood to create a natural feel, and the outer surface is mainly weather-resistant steel plate.
This is a permanent
weathering steel gallery and tourist information center designed for Vanke, China's largest real estate developer. The jump triple V is very dramatic and the building has become a local icon. Although the architecture has a strong sculptural nature, it was born through rational and careful analysis. It is related to the surrounding context and based on the site to obtain the plane and form.
Vanke requires the
Corten Steel Gallery to have three main spaces: a tourist information center, an exhibition gallery and a lounge for discussion. At the same time, the tourism information center and the exhibition gallery have separate lines of movement, which do not interfere with each other. In the gallery and lounge, you can have a panoramic view of the sea. There is also a sculpture bar. The outer skin is
weather-resistant steel plate that can resist and adapt to the coastal climate, and the inner walls and ceilings are made of wood, making the space natural and comfortable.
